Worship is a huge part of who we are at CrossPoint. When we come together on Sunday, the overflow of our private worship throughout the week is contagious through our corporate worship.

It’s hard to explain our worship music since there are so few churches out there like us… imagine finding a church that is relaxed, enjoyable, and one that you look forward to all week.

We use many different techniques to communicate the message God has given us. You’re likely to find us using music, video, staging, props, and other creative techniques quite often. For instance, in our worship services, our band (with drums, guitars, keyboards, brass & woodwinds) is just as likely to be playing a Beatles song as they are a progressive praise song or a modernized hymn. Sometimes we’ll use just a band, sometimes with a choir, sometimes with just a few vocalists. We sing a variety of almost every style imaginable.

You’ll notice that we devote a lot of time to worship. Worship isn’t just a filler before the sermon…it’s the reason we come together! It’s a powerful and personal way to connect our hearts with God. You’ll also notice a lot of variety in how people participate in the worship time: some sit, others stand, some raise their hands.

How you respond to God in worship is up to you; all we ask is that you go after God with all your heart, giving Him your very best. Church is the only place in the world where people are asked to sing! If you’re not accustomed to it, you might find it strange, but giving God praise has an incredible impact on every situation in your life. And don’t worry, we didn’t know all the songs at first either.

Once you learn the power of praise, it can change your life and you won’t be able to keep silent! Everyone worships in their own way and no one will force you to worship one particular way at CrossPoint Community Church. However you choose to express praise to God, you’ll find true, authentic worship in spirit and truth with one common goal – to exalt Jesus and Him only.

If you’re interested in being a part of our worship ministry team, give us a try during a Wednesday night rehearsal.
Choir meets at 6:30 in the choir suite.
Band and Orchestra meet at 6:30 in the Worship Center.

You can sample a taste of our worship music here: www.youtube.com/cpccworship

If you have any questions about getting involved in our worship ministry contact our worship pastor: jason.lee@crosspoint.cc We are always looking for more instrumentalists, vocal team members, choir members, and media and sound technicians. Get involved today!

Prior to your birth, God had already made hundreds of millions of humans. He had made them in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. He had made some with obvious athletic talents, and some without; some with great intellect, and some lacking it. He had made humans in a seemingly endless variety.

And yet, He chose to make you. He did not need to, He wanted to. He made you because He loves you. He created you for His enjoyment, His delight, His glory. Bringing pleasure to God is the first purpose of your life. Once you realize this, you will never feel insignificant again. You are so important to God that He made you, and has plans to keep you by His side for all eternity.

We need to learn to worship God in every area of our lives: at home, at work, in our cars… everywhere. Psalm 95 give us some ideas for learning to better worship God at church. Believe it or not, worship does not happen automatically the moment you walk through the doors of the church each week! There are some choices that you can make that will bring a real difference to your focus on God during worship. As often as we attend services where we are supposed to worship, we spend very little time talking about how to worship. Most of us spend more time training on how to work at our computer than how to worship our Creator!

The book of Psalms tells us “to come before Him with thanksgiving.” – Psalms. 95:2. Tell the Lord how thankful you are for Him. Don’t neglect your quiet time with the Lord. Worship him because He IS GOD! Worship is surrendering ourselves to the Almighty King of Kings! He is God and worthy of our praise!

Jesus is the antidote for spiritual blindness

Jesus said to the people, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t be stumbling through the darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” – John 8:12 (NLT)

“…I will put together my church, a church so expansive with energy that not even the gates of hell will be able to keep it out.” – Matthew 16:18 (Message)

“…the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 3:10 (NASB)

Jesus called out and mentored leaderless people

Jesus called out to them, “Come, be my disciples, and I will show you how to fish for people!” – Mark 1:17

Jesus spent much of His time equipping Servant leaders to go into all of the world and preach the gospel. CrossPoint spends much of its time and resources to reach those who do not know the Lord outside of our own church community. We also reach beyond the borders of the United States to people groups in other countries.

Grand Slam Program – Home Base

CrossPoint is a purpose driven church. Ministry is the third of the 5 purposes that we teach from scripture. Our Grand Slam classes are taught every other month. We teach you from scripture on one purpose per meeting. It is the goal of CrossPoint to mature the saints of God. The Mission purpose teaches us that not only has God called us to minister to His local body where we are planted, but He desires us to reach “beyond our walls”. God has given us a mission to reach outside the walls of CrossPoint to our community, our state, our country and to the countries of the world. Your vision will grow as you learn God’s heart for the world in this class on missions.

God put you on earth for a reason, a purpose. He did not put you here just to consume resources-to eat, breathe, and take up space. God designed you to make a difference in the world. This makes your existence beneficial to the rest of mankind. Many people try to see how much they can get out of life. We are called, not to “get out of life,” but to “give back to life.” God wants you to give something back. This “giving back” gives purpose to your life.

Every member is a minister. Our goal is to empower every member to be a minister by expressing their God=given shape. Our goal is to help others reach a goal of deciding to serve-to move from a spectator to a participator by starting to serve in a ministry. Once here, they are encouraged to move on into maturity.

CrossPoint is a purpose driven church. Ministry is the third of the 5 purposes that we teach from scripture. Our Grand Slam classes are taught every other month. We teach you from scripture on one purpose per meeting. It is the goal of CrossPoint to mature the saints of God. The Ministry purpose teaches us that God has called each of us to minister to the body of Christ. You will also learn about your gifts, talents and abilities that God gave you to use for Him. Please take this class and then get busy serving the Lord by serving others.

In all of creation, humans are the only creatures which are said to be made “in God’s image.” He designed us as spiritual beings. He gave us intellects. He made us relational. He gave us many of His attributes; however, His work in us is not finished. Since He desires to spend all of eternity loving us, He wishes to make us more lovable. He wishes to make us more like Christ.

There is no more exciting adventure or fulfilling challenge than that of a lifelong pursuit of becoming like Christ. CrossPoint stands poised to lead you to a deeper and growing faith.

The Bible tells us that Jesus’ disciples “devoted themselves to His teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer” (Acts 2:42). Those who knew Jesus continued to learn, to teach, to pray and to mentor one another so that their faith would take root and grow to maturity.

The Maturity lesson will teach you about habits that must be broken and Godly habits that must be established. This is an intriguing study of God’s word that will give you practical tools for personal grow in the Lord.

The entire Bible is the story of God building a family who will love Him, honor Him and reign with Him forever. God wants a family. He wants a family because He is love-He desires relationships with His creations, His children. God wants you to be part of His family. Our vision is to help make a big place small. CrossPoint seems like a very large place to many. But hundreds of people have found that they can become part of a true spiritual family as they follow God´s plan for developing relationships. We help people to take their first spiritual steps after becoming a follower of Jesus Christ through the following ministries:

Baptism

It´s our privilege to serve people who want to express their commitment to Christ publicly through water baptism. (Acts 2:41)

Grand Slam Program – First Base

This is an introduction to our Church Family. This is where most people have their first chance to learn about CrossPoint and what it means to become part of our church family. Our Pastor will give a Biblical perspective of membership in the body of Christ and of membership in this local church of CrossPoint. A clear presentation of the Gospel is given and many people each year make a commitment to Christ during the class! Once people have joined our church family, we offer many different ministries to help make a big place small. This is where people begin to connect with their church family, deepen their relationships, and change their lives! To learn more about the Grand Slam classes and how to register for the next class please contact us by clicking here.

Small Groups

There are currently many small groups throughout our community (Acts 5:42) . These groups include our Sunday School Classes, Bible Studies, Celebrate Recovery small groups, and many more!
