Opportunities to Worship
At CrossPoint there is always a sense of excitement and expectancy in the air each time we meet together for worship. The psalmist David expresses so well the heart of many. "This one thing I have asked from the LORD. This one thing I will continue to seek. I want to live in the house of the LORD all my life. It is there that I behold the beauty of the LORD and I am afforded the opportunity to seek Him with others in His house." (Paraphrase from Psalm 27:4.)
It is exciting to see so many who sense the calling of God to return to that for which we were all created - WORSHIP. "The purpose of God in sending His Son to die and rise and live and be at the right hand of God the Father was that He might restore to us the missing jewel, the jewel of worship; that we might come back and learn to do again that which we were created to do in the first place - worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness, to spend our time in awesome wonder and adoration of God, feeling and expressing it." Below you will discover several opportunities for those whom God has uniquely called to be lead worshippers through means of the Worship Arts Ministry of CrossPoint. You are invited to join us anytime.
CrossPoint Celebration Choir: Meets each Wednesday evening at 6:30 in the music suite for rehearsal. Sings each Sunday morning at 10:50. Open to church members age 16 and older.
CrossPoint Orchestra: Meets each Wednesday evening at 6:30 in the Band room for rehearsal. Plays each Sunday morning at 10:50. Participants are age 16 or older. An Audition is required.
Parables Alive (CrossPoint Drama Ministry): Meets each Tuesday evening at 6:30. Training classes are required to join the guild of actors, Participants are of all ages.
Student Drama Team: Primarily for grades 9 - college. Middle school students are included during special programs such as Dinner Theatre and Judgment House.
Middle School Choir: For grades 6 - 8, meets each Sunday evening 5:30 to 6:30 (Vortex Youth Service 6:30 to 8:00) Vocal, instrumental, drama, teaching, ministry.
Senior High Praise Band Training: For grades 9-12, meets each Sunday evening 5:30 to 6:30. Training on instruments and voices for worship leading.
xRoads Praise Band: For grades 9 - College by audition only. Group leads worship in student service each Sunday evening @ 6:30.
Play & Praise Preschool Choir: For ages 4&5, meets each Sunday evening 6:00 to 7:30 Singing, games, teaching, snacks, FUN!
CrossPoint Kidz Choir: For grades 1- 5, meets each Sunday evening 6:00 to 7:30 Singing, drama, teaching, snacks, FUN!
